Proverbs 14:12 There exists a way that is upright before a man, but the ways of death are the end of it afterward.

Are we really sure that our moral code is the right one?

Are we sure our faith is the right one?

The scripture quoted above should raise that question in our minds, because it is not what suits us that will get us knto God's Kingdom, but wat suits God.

So how much do you want to live? or do you only want to live if you can do it your way?

That is a choice only you can make.

Do you think if we choose to do it our way, then when we die, we just cease to exist? Or does God cause us to burn forever if we don't choose to live his way?

Once again you reveal your self-righteousness, and therefore your hypocrisy.

Do you truly believe that you live a life that is pleasing to God?

My righteousness, if I have any, does not come from me, but from God. I claim none for myself.

Nor am I a hypocrite because I speak only from God's word, in which I have comlete trust.

Sorry I didn't finish my reply before I hit "post".

In my book a hypocrite is someone who claims to worship God without even taking the trouble to find out exactly who God is, who Christ is, and what the Christ's many roles have been since his creation.

I know I am doing my best to live the life that God asks of us, as exemplified by his son, yes, and I also trust that God, and Christ, accept my poor imperfect efforts to do so.

At least I do know the sort of life God wants us to live, which from the language you occasionally use, you don't, though it is clearly laid out for us in scripture. "let not an obscene saying come out of your mouth"

I am unsure what your book is, but the Holy Bible reveals the following.

The self-righteous are those who believe that their own righteousness, their own works, their own lives, make them right with God.

Such people will inevitably be revealed as hypocrites as all have sinned and sin is never acceptable to God (Mat 23:27;Rom 3:23).

The self-righteous know how much sin is in their lives and they also know that sin is unacceptable to God .

So, God will not accept your best efforts. Your best efforts are defiled tampons before God (Isaiah 64:6).

The self-righteous hypocrite will always be attracted to false religion as all false religion is works based. JW's are no different to all other false religionist hypocrites.

False religions which hijack the name of God's Son, and those who follow them, are sure to be judged in God's wrath .

Thankyou for highlighting my sin. If you like I will begin maintaining a moment by moment journal of my thought-life and you can write in the margins of each moment whether or not that moment will be acceptable to God (Rev 12:10).

However, I must warn you that your efforts will be in vain as I am of the saved to whom Christ's righteousness is imputed, and it is not, and will not, be my life which God considers when I come into his presence, but rather that of his holy, righteous Son, Jesus Christ (2 Cor 5:21).

"In my book" is a figure of speech, but I guess it does imply that if I wrote a book on that subject these things would go in there.

Thanks that lets me out completely and actually puts you in that spotlight. After all you actually called me one who is unsure of my own salvation. The self righteous are ones, like yourself, who assume that their salvation is assured, and beyond doubt.

As you know I do not feel that way, though I am doing my best to comply with the wishes of God and Christ, as well as to keep my teachings in line with theirs. Only God and Christ can judge how well I am doing, certainly not one like you, who doesn't even know the true standards to judge by.

As I said above. This section puts you firmly in the "self righteous" category, since you take it on yourself to judge what God and Christ will say. Since we of us can comply perfectly, we have to rely on God's judgement, not on our own.

Your beliefs also put you in the category of those who "Hijack" the name Christian since your beliefs are easily proven false, from the bible, and adhere very much to the foretold apostate form of "Christianity", the "man of lawlessness" of prophecy brought in after the death of Christ and firmly established after the death of the last of the Apostles.

Look to your own teachings Aquine. I rely on the bible for mine.

Incidentally, your comment about "Hijacking" is the main I do not claim to be Christian myself, the term has been thoroughly devalued by such teachings as you espouse. I like Christ before me, claim only to worship the one the bible calls "The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ", the one who designated himself as Yehowah, which translates as Jehovah.

If service of his Father was good enough for Christ and his followers, it is good enough for me.

Thou art rebuked in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My soul has been purchased by God with the blood of Jesus Christ.

It had nothing to do with me. I was dead in sin when it happened.

It has nothing to do with me now. For me, eternity is bright, regardless. All my sin, past, present and future, is paid for.

You on the other hand believe that you can do something to lose your salvation, which also means you believe that you are working to maintain your salvation.

You claim to know God but then you reveal how little you know him by claiming to have some hope to pass through God's judgement on your own merit.

You're so deluded that you may as well become a Catholic.

Does this mean that everyone in the old testament is hell. Because to goto heaven according to chistianity you have to accept Christ into your life, well what abpout all the people who lived before Christ was born. What if you are bought up somewhere where christianity hasnt reached does that mean that you automatically goto hell through no fault of your own.

What about deaf and dumb and blind people what if they arnt able to choose christiaity is tha also a one way ticket to the fire pit?

Yes... they to get rebuked... and get to go to hell... I guess you could say all those people should have had a little foresight...

But what you have to remember is what the biblical hell is. It is simply a state of non existence, where there is no thought or activity until the resurrection

Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”

John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’”

Ezek. 18:4: “The soul [“soul,” RS, NE, KJ, Dy, Kx; “man,” JB; “person,” TEV] that is sinning—it itself will die.”

Isa. 53:12: “He poured out his soul [“soul,” RS, KJ, Dy; “life,” TEV; “himself,” JB, Kx, NAB] to the very death.” (Compare Matthew 26:38.)

Eccl. 9:6: “Their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.”

Isa. 26:14: “They are dead; they will not live. Impotent in death, they will not rise up.”

Of course, in the resurrection, they will al rise again, but not until then.

Of course, in the resurrection, they will all rise again, but not until then. The only exception to that is those who die at Armageddon, and those who perish after the test at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ. The latter will have had their second chance whereas the former have had the chance to learn thanks to the worldwide preaching work that is going on right now.
