Scrabble/Words With Friends on iPhone

Have you ever played Scrabble? Believe it or not, I haven't.

Anyway, I chose Words With Friends (Scrabble knockoff) 5 days ago. I love word games. This is so different than what I'm accustomed to. All the games I play require long words for more points. I've learned that in order to win, I've got to play 2 and 3 letter words off 2 and 3 letter words (mostly) to do well at this game.

A man I played this morning was so condescending which I found rather amusing. He scored higher than anyone I've played, and he scored most of his points early in the game.

My tiles were either all consonants or all vowels most of the time. I didn't have a chance because he knew all the words the game accepts. I'm talking about words most of us never use in day to day conversation. He also blocked me at every turn.

Throughout the game, he was making comments about how ugly the game could get because I had admitted to being an amateur. I told him I wasn't a sore loser and I'd give it my best shot.

When the game was over, he said it was unfair. I asked what he meant. He said our skill levels were not equal in that format. I realized that. I just said thanks for the game and have a good day.

So have any of you played Scrabble and if you have, how long have you been playing? This guy said he'd been playing for 25 years.

I used to play the board game a long time ago. Just for fun of course. I've also played Scrabble on my computer a few years ago. I suppose I could reinstall it and play some more if I feel like it.

I've played the board game almost everyday until 5 years ago where I got loaded up with studies. I only play the online versions now and then but not like I used to. I did get to a good score on that one FB scrabble game or the yahoo ones!

I miss chess, checkers, scrabble and monopoly days.

Maxi and I played when he was here, I haven't played since I was a teen. We didn't keep score though and helped each other out at times when we were stuck. It was just for fun.

I play it for the sake of having to calculate and fill out the numbers on the neat and tidy shiny score sheet that come with the game. And for the POINTS!!!!!!! I was spoiled since then

Sure! I heard they're updating the app for new FB functions or something.

It's showing the player's online but they're not playing. I want someone to play a full game.

Duad, kane, dey, wog, vig, qat, sitar, toea, and dirk

Wog, sitar, and dirk are the only ones that didn't show up wrong with Firefox spell check. No wonder I keep losing.

Oh, and I've learned that Tory, Cory, and Mike aren't just names. I've used Jane, Joe, Joey (baby kangaroo?), Jin/Jinn (I know a Korean guy called Jin), and probably others.
