Any proof or reason to believe these ideas other than the say so of a Mexican journalist?

I don't really care if the mexican journalist is right or the other person, if no one else gets to come over illegally, why are mexicans? I don't give a hoot about race, I just think it's bizarre that rules are made to be enforced for some and not others.

I can't go to any other country illegally, and I am fine with that. Its the law. I'd appreciate others having to deal with the same rules I do.

The only thing we'd miss is (correct me if I'm wrong) is the harvesting of vegetables for near free labor. I don't mind paying more for lettuce.

The Key here is "Illegal", if anybody is in any country illegally, they should be deported unless they claim refuge status and prove they are under some form of mental or physical or religious duress, which may prove harmful to them if they return to the country they are fleeing. Not just economic reasons.

No apology for sending this! ! After hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. hmm, fair points. I wouldnt forward it though, I tend to say stuff along the same general lines anyway. offending people shouldnt be feared, but rather, contemplated. weight the benefits of offending the person against the cons. I dont believe there is anything to lose in offending someone who cheated to get here anyway

why arent more americans moving to mexico? shoot, they come here save up and return rich, we dont even have to save up really lol. plus i heard somewhere that marijauna is legal, so youd think the stoners would flock to Mexico as it is closer than Amsterdam.

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you Dulu. And i don't care who it offends either. If I established myself in another country, I would not insist they change their anthem to suit me.

If I were a guest in their house, I would act like a proper guest.

I am not a racist in anyway shape or form. I embrace and LOVE diversity. But this is getting out of hand, IMO. This isn't Mexico. The US is a melting pot, and there has been an anthem established, and I don't hear of any other group of people rallying to change it.

I speak to people of many races and nationalities on a regular basis. This is not a bash to mexicans, but i will say, the mexicans are the ones who have refused to adapt to america's culture more than any other. You don't have to change who you are to be respectful of a country you entered - ILLEGALLY! Not saying all of them are here illgally, but I am expressly referring to the illegals in this post. I have a problem with ILLEGAL, no matter what law it refers to.

I am also all about change. Somethings need to change. I get that. I am not someone who says "but but but we always did it this way". BUT, if English has been the majority native tongue of america this long, and it needs to be changed, why spanish? There are many many people here who speak a language other than spanish, and they came here legally. Maybe they would prefer it become predominant in their language?
