need help with Kingdom Hearts 2 Timeless River

i been playing kingdom hearts for 2 days and got to the timeless river i did all the floating windows except one i cant beat its the fire one where i save a building on fire and such i can defeat the little heartless things but when the cars come up im always beaten by them and im level 17 i tried jumping and hitting them and dodging them as they run by by i still can't beat it
do you have any tips for me or try to help me out?
