| MonkeyMadness Lord of your mum ![]() Big Tree, United Kingdom | #1 What is the difference between www.<username>.theforumsite.com and www.theforumsite.com/users/<username>? The both go too the same page, but it depends on what you click on. The first one doesnt work with old browsers either | ||||||

| Lili .................... ![]() Sunshine Land, | #4 the username.theforumsite.com subdomain redirects to the folder /users/username. It's exactly the same. Technically I don't think it should matter which browser you're using though, you might wanna check your browser cache. | ||||||

| El_Tino booyaka! ![]() Las Cruces, New Mexico | #7 well it's not a redirect. but some browsers have problems depending on the username, like _ doesn't usually appear ina domain name and it makes the browser not work right. | ||||||
| Lili .................... ![]() Sunshine Land, | #8 ah, I see, character problems. Yeah that sucks. So is the subdomain a frame then? | ||||||
| El_Tino booyaka! ![]() Las Cruces, New Mexico | #9 No. The index php figures out what to show depending on what the domain name is. | ||||||

| MonkeyMadness Lord of your mum ![]() Big Tree, United Kingdom | #11 It is IE6, which does indeed suck. And it wont redirect, it just wont display the web page if there is an underscore in the username | ||||||

| Lili .................... ![]() Sunshine Land, | #14 that's weird that IE6 doesn't support underscores. I mean, underscores have been allowed characters in URLs for years haven't they? | ||||||

| El_Tino booyaka! ![]() Las Cruces, New Mexico | #15 @lili Said ![]() that's weird that IE6 doesn't support underscores. I mean, underscores have been allowed characters in URLs for years haven't they? I don't think they're technically allowed. | ||||||
