About the egg shaper things: Do you just crack the egg and stick inside the container and boil it that way?

Nope, you boil it first (has to be hard boiled), peel it while it's still warm, then put the egg in the mold and stick it in the freezer for about 15 minutes (some just put it in cold water for at least 10 minutes instead)
