The Scene That Will Never Take Place
April 27, 2010 @ 05:42:14 am
Another Random Thought.

My thoughts are my lines that I rehearse in my head on a daily basis, but when it comes time to act out the scene I get stage fright and I cant portray my character the way I hoped too.

Very poignant, and I dare say, typical. I am at best, a shadow of the person I would like to be... It's always easy to be yourself when there's no-one around to kick you in the teeth for it I think part of becoming a 'real' human (for want of a better way to put it), is to lessen the gap between the 'real' you, and the 'you' that you are to others (if that makes sense).

It does make sense... I can't figure out how to close the gap. My problem maybe that I dont know who the "real" me is. I lost her somewhere.... I can't seem to back track far enough to figure out where things went horribly wrong.

PS: I like the word typical in your reply.

Why do you like the word typical????

Anyway, as to finding the 'real' you - the real you is who you actually are. Right now, like me, you might be a transitional you, but that is still the real you. However, if you are looking for you in a different sense... maybe you lack the courage or self belief to be who you want to be... That is not a good place to be. you don't wanna grow old and realise you wasted your life, and let all your dreams and hopes die because you lacked the courage to chase them.

I think most people are whack-jobs if you dig deep enough... that should give you the courage to be who you want to be...

Typical: Exhibiting the qualities, traits, or characteristics that identify a kind, class, group, or category

I like the use of the word typical because it means I'm not the only one.

I will admit I do lack courage specially when it comes to myself.

"Anyway, as to finding the 'real' you - the real you is who you actually are. Right now, like me, you might be a transitional you, but that is still the real you." - I keep thinking my transition is a bad thing... I need to start looking at my transition as a good thing instead of worrying about other people realizing my changes. I need to find acceptance in myself.

Thanks for posting, You gave me a lot to think about. Its always nice to receive advice from another persons experiences.
