| a*****e, d***, c***, liar, whatever. Cause the people who matter know what I am. Caring uncle, loving (estranged) husband (yeah, I haven't been honest about my ex in RI, we're still married...) homeless rights activist, big brother, healer, creative writer, and a man who doesn't have much because he reconizes those who need it more. This place isn't my life, this place doesn't define me | |

TFS Monkey+ 46830 points | It does make sense, jonnythan. If a person separates from their spouse, moves back across the country, and believes they will be getting divorced, it makes sense to call them an ex-wife or husband.
It's kind of selective to how the person feels about their spouse as to what name they give them.
Either way, d***ie, I wana see the marriage license. |

Nope, that's not the case, I've just never pictured you as ever wanting to get married. |

You're right, it's not my bag. I think that if you love someone and want to spend your life with them, a license, a ring, a wedding isn't needed, but it was important to her, and all I really care about is being her happiness |

but yeah, commitment is not always about that piece of paper, but if its important to one person, then it should be done. |

Über-Meister+ 1972 points | | It's just too bad that our situations in life made a marraige difficult. I wish we never separated... But hey, here I am, 3000 miles away from my legal wife, not wanting to make the split official, and there she is wanting to come back to me, but stuck finishing school cause she thinks she won't be able to be a good wife to me without it. So yeah, until it's possible for us to make it work, and we're together again, we are seeing other people. I never imagined how hard it would be to talk to your wife about your new girlfriend... |
